Ernest F. Hollings, who promoted oceanic and atmospheric research throughout his career. This is the fifth year this scholarship is being made available to students interested in pursuing degrees in ocean and atmospheric sciences and education. The program will provide approximately 100 college undergraduates up to $29,050 each for their academic studies related to NOAA science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities. The program also offers a multi-disciplinary summer internship providing students the opportunity to work with NOAA scientists.
